Director, Public Finance Advisory Quayle Munro

Quayle Munro is a leading independent merchant bank, listed on AIM and with offices in London and Edinburgh. It has a team of over 30 highly qualified professionals providing corporate finance advice, specialist fund management and principal investment, and public finance advice.
The eleven strong public finance team has a strong record of advising both the public and private sectors on infrastructure, service procurement and financing projects. The team has an outstanding reputation for its ability to enhance the commercial and financial structures of public finance deals, delivering high quality independent advice, innovative financing structures and knowledge of the procurement life cycle. The team has been a leading adviser on PFI/PPP projects since the early 1990s, advising on over 60 projects from initial bid submission through to financial close. It is also a leading adviser to the higher and further education sector, providing sophisticated financing expertise on student residence projects and major capital spending programmes.
The Position
In order to grow its successful public finance business further, Quayle Munro now seeks to appoint a Director to be based in its London office with responsibility for originating and leading the execution of advisory mandates across the full range of public finance projects. Drawing on the skills and track record of the existing team, you will help raise the profile of Quayle Munro with potential clients in the public and private sector, creating and implementing a business development strategy that grows market share in the existing sectors in which they operate as well as targeting new sectors for future development. Working with existing transactional resource within the business, you will in due course build out further the team in London to provide first class financial advice to private and public sector clients alike.
The Candidate
Currently working at a senior level with another professional services advisory firm, a bank or developer, you will have first hand and extensive knowledge of originating and transacting public finance projects. You have a strong understanding of the procurement and financing of social infrastructure transactions, and the credibility to win and handle advisory mandates and provide ground breaking, innovative solutions while building and maintaining high level relationships with clients in both the public and private sectors.
Enthusiastic, committed and technically strong, you will be entrepreneurial and hands on in style so as to enjoy the culture of this non-hierarchical, unbureaucratic business. With first rate communication and client management skills, you should be adaptable and flexible, and have the strategic vision and drive to successfully build and lead a London based team at an exciting point in Quayle Munro’s development.
